Pros

If you want to have no direction or organization this is the place for you. The managers arent even knowledgeable about the trade . ( shocked emoji )

Cons

I cant really think of any. To be honest you have to not care about your career to work here and stay. Cooperate doesn't seem to have a clue either . Are they running the company by youtube videos ?

Pros

Worked with many great professional people at all levels of the company. Learned many life skills from a few direct managers. Field team members are usually excelling in their craftsmanship.

Cons

Had one direct manager with a passive aggressive personality, so you never knew where you truly stood with him.

Pros

Pay was below average. Bonus structure was average.

Cons

Communication and Management style. Condescending and belittling is the management style. Talking negatively about managers as well as other team members. I wish I never took the job. Worst experience. Work life balance does not exist. My talents were not utilized. My time was spent being micromanaged, scrutinized and talked down to daily. I was told not to go to certain people in the company and to physically not attend monthly executive meetings as it was not an efficient use of my time.

Pros

Our branch manager treats customers and employees like family. He is easy to work for and willing to be flexible when needed. They hire full-time when so many companies are cutting positions to part time to save on the benefits packages. The benefits offered are good...competitive pay, medical, dental, pet insurance, short and long term disability, life insurance, 401k...I am sure there were more but I cannot think of them right now. There is plenty of opportunity to go up the ladder for those who are willing to work hard and learn. There are also opportunities to make commissions so you are paid for what you do, not only the hours you work.

Cons

We struggle sometimes finding new employees that are good at their job. The trades are not being encouraged in schools and finding motivated, trustworthy, experienced employees is difficult.

Pros

There are pros like every job. Great co-workers, got paid weekly.

Cons

You are treated like a number. There is little to no actual support even though they claim to always be available. Corporate is under the impression everyone exists to feed their machine. They will manipulate the numbers so you virtually never make bonuses and then up the goals so much the next year it isn't possible to ever get one. If you interview ask how many general managers have quit the last 3 years. You'll be amazed.

Pros

good pay if you don't mind being pushy and selling a lot of units and IAQ upgrades. stable job because of the size of the company, you know they are not going to go out of business or lay off during the slow periods. you will have work during slow times of year because they do LOTS of maintenance, i do probably 25-30 maintenance calls a week, and run only 5 service calls a week average. lots of training opportunities, very safety focused.

Cons

opportunity to advance is only likely if you move. if your branch manager leaves and you have already been training for years is the only way you will get lucky and move up within your branch. after that, plan to move if you advance any further. branch manager is as high as it gets at branch level unless you are at a main branch in your area. usually the area manager already has a pet who will be first in line for the branch manager openings anyway... to make really good money you have to lose your self respect and sell sell sell, new units, uv lights, filters, humidifiers, etc, for the commission. you're constantly ranked by how many leads you set, how many uv lights you've sold that week, etc. it's how you're graded as a technician, and how you're evaluated for advancement.

Pros

They have ok benefits and a great market share in the industry. More or less if you make money you are left alone as long as you are part of the "boys clubs"

Cons

This company will say one thing and do another. They have no problem telling you something to your face and then screwing you over. They say things have changed with new ownership and a new CEO but it is the same old crap. You are treated as a commodity daily and only seen as revenue. No respect or care for their employees. Their turn over is incredibly high. Upper management is weak at best and spends very little time trying to make sure their branches have good management. Managers are paid way under market value and bonuses are a joke. They give you this awesome plan that you can never hit. I would seriously reconsider working for this company. I spent almost 5 years there and in hindsight it got me no where in my career. HR is laughable.
