Pros

There are no hidden secrets when working for ServiceMaster of Seattle. The management is up front with what the job responsibilities are, the business hours you work, and what you put into the position, is what you'll get out of it. The training is amongst the best in the region! Anyone who seeks a a job with this company goes through a background check and drug testing. I have found the owner of the company to be fair, listens to the hearts of his employees, should they go to him with concerns. Leaving this company to further my career was a hard decision as the trust and friendships are real.

Cons

The disconnect from dept to dept. At times, the hand doesn't know what the foot is doing; where this creates a break in communication.

Pros

biweekly pay, company truck to drive during business hours, not micromanaged, monthly expense account, freedom to operate as yo see fit to establish and maintain growth in territory

Cons

Each SM franchise is independently owned and operated, so this review is by no means representative of SM as a whole. However, the SM Restore of Tupelo Ms. is operated by an individual who has zero business experience and treats his employees as slightly better than servants. No mater if it's cutting people out of hours worked, docking a mandatory 12 percent out of paychecks for breaks rarely taken, or trying to come up with new and clever ways to turn salary into a draw to prevent paying commission, this company is a dead end with NO growth potential. As a marketing rep, consultant being the owners idea to prevent having to designate the title of manager to anyone, any spirit of teamwork, loyalty, or relationship building will quickly vanish once the math of payroll is done. After increasing business by well over 30 percent (all new accounts) ownership was still trying to come up with some way of changing agreed upon salary (10k below industry standard to be made up by commisions) to a draw status. also, any support from the "operations manager" which is just a title given to someone with no prior management experience and lacking in even a basic water restoration certification, forget it. She simply walks around in fear of the owner. If your a professional with experience just stay away from these people. No future....No benefits.....No peace of mind about your EARNED money!!!!
