Pros

ServiceNow is an exciting place to work. The company is building innovative solutions that have a real impact, and it feel rewarding to be part of that mission. The colleagues are some of the smartest and most collaborative people I've worked with- there's a strong sense of teamwork and shared purpose. The pace is fast, which keeps the work dynamic and gives you opportunities to grow quickly and continuously learn.

Cons

The fast-paced environment may not be for everyone. Priorities can shift quickly, and it requires adaptability and resilience.

Pros

The SaaS platform ServiceNow offers is truly amazing. So there's lots of upside for the company, it's relatively easy to sell and to demonstrate, customers tend to like it and renew their contracts. If you're in sales, you know that having a decent product and a good path to expand your footprint at existing accounts is key. The company invests significantly in R&D and strategic acquisitions, which should help them keep an edge on competitors.

Cons

The cult of Bill McDermott is kinda gross. He's the antithesis of the "humble" that Fred Luddy brought to the c-suite. He rolls into corporate events like a rock star, signing autographs, and his speeches are somewhere between Goodfellas and a rambling Trump monologue. We've started doing "big company" stuff like layoffs, pinching pennies on travel, limiting team events. It's still one of the better places I've worked, but the startup feel is totally gone. We're on a path to be just like IBM in terms of culture. Commissions are getting tighter too - they're reviewing more deals each quarter and saying "we're not going to pay full commission on that, it was a 360 deal, or an exec was involved, or it's a way bigger deal than what was expected in this territory so we're only going to pay out 50% of the commission we owe on it." The Ts & Cs in comp plans give them loopholes the size of cruise ships where they can NOT pay you commission for all kinds of reasons.
