Pros

A recession proof, useful job helping people. It is challenging and interesting. Restoration and cleanup are rewarding and necessary services.

Cons

Franchisees are not controlled by corporate office and behave however they choose apparently without consequences. Lots of temps and other shortcuts to boost profits.

its a recession-proof job. until all insurance companies go out of business (never). a lot of overtime and after hours work.

Cons

a lot of overtime and after hours work ( yes , same as 'pros'). personal life takes a beating. emergencies don't know you are on a holiday. if you are a family person this job can break you.
