      Disappointed with facility and corporate

      Pros

      Flexible schedule and minimal requirements for services given

      Cons

      Cronyism shown among therapists from Corporate. Expected to be available 24-7 without the compensation for it. Productivity pushed constantly, questionable billing for services given, high turnover rate in therapists and staff.

      Pros

      It's a secure job with fair pay, at least in the overhead. People listen to you when you have an idea and encourage you to seek out guidance when you need it. My supervisor has also been very flexible and supportive when life gets in the way. You don't get many government holidays off, but they compensate for that with a lot of vacation time that accrues relatively quickly.

      Cons

      It's a big company, so change will never be spontaneous or quick. This can be a good thing and a bad thing I think. Also, while they don't force anyone to be a workaholic, it is definitely encouraged. There is a lot of work to do and you have to make sure not to let yourself get buried because Mentor is more than happy to pile on more.

      VERY Unprofessional, lack of support from supervisors, reporting to Human Resources is frowned upon

      Pros

      The Clients are the only reason to work at REM

      Cons

      Reporting to Human Resources is frowned upon and issues do not get resolved. The employee is told they are targeting the person they are reporting. Illegal questions are asked and personal time (evenings/weekends) is told how to be spent. The supervisors have no distinction between personal life and work life and expect the same of their employees. Expected to be on call 24/7 even when there is an on call system in place.
