Pros

- Atmosphere is relatively laid back - The people you work with are great and make the job a little more enjoyable - My manager is very transparent and you can tell they really try to be on our side

Cons

- The expectations of the health coaches have been overwhelming, causing a large majority of the people I know to leave - Caseloads doubles and coaches were expected to make calls within a 5 minute time range - Talking to members minute after minute for 8 hours can be exhausting, especially when the computer programs track your breaks and you cannot take a mental break if needed - No sick days and if you are on an accrual PTO plan, you feel like you have to go to work miserably sick because you cannot take a day off for your health - The company used to focus on employee health more and aim to make it more inclusive. - Easy to get burned out on what you are doing day in and day out when you know upper management just cares about making more and more money

Thank you for sharing your perspective. We sincerely hope that you’re sharing this – and any other feedback you have – with our leaders. The well-being of our colleagues is incredibly important to us. We have benefits plans in place that include paid time off that can be used at our colleagues’ discretion – vacation, personal, sick time – whatever their needs are. Any colleague with personal needs is encouraged to speak with their leader or HR to determine how we can provide appropriate support. Our health coaches are very important to us – the impact they have on our members is substantial and the work they do is admirable. As such, we take great pride in ensuring they feel supported both in their current roles, and in their professional growth. A significant number of colleagues within Sharecare began their careers with us in our call centers – a fact in which we take great pride. The paths they’ve taken vary from movement into finance, account management and leadership, to name a few. Because the options for growth are diverse, our colleagues must play an active role in their development, and it’s especially important that colleagues partner with their leaders to identify professional growth opportunities. We’d ask that you continue to provide feedback through appropriate internal channels. Your voice matters. Thanks for the important work that you do.

Pros

Ability to work from home.

Cons

Driven by numbers and care less about quality of service provided. Communication between higher management and frontline employees is terrible and most times lacking. Little to No opportunities for growth.

We appreciate that you took the time to share your perspective. The quality of all interactions we have with our members is something we take very seriously. We trust that you’re sharing your concerns with your leaders, and partnering on solutions or suggestions you have. While our rapid growth has caused some challenges with communications, our leaders are focused on new and improved processes to keep colleagues informed. We’re confident that focus will soon be evident to our colleagues who might still be experiencing gaps. In the meantime, don’t hesitate to ask questions and/or start a conversation - we each play an important role in effective communication. Continued thanks for the work you do to support our members in their well-being journeys.

We appreciate that you took the time to write this review. We’re certainly proud of our vision and leaders, and to hear that same pride from our colleagues is wonderful. Given the growth we’ve been through in recent years, we recognize there has been a learning curve with how our teams interact with and support one another. One of the best ways to address these barriers is by starting candid conversations. We’ve found that a little conversation can go a long way with regards to team alignment. This is especially true for our IT group, as they spent a substantial portion of 2017 integrating their resources to ensure optimal support for our customers and colleagues. They’ve implemented improved communication tactics and centralized service desk support functions to improve the colleague experience, and are partnering with a number of teams to standardize applications across multiple business groups. As with any department in our organization, our IT leaders would welcome feedback or suggestions you have. Thanks again for sharing your insights, and for your commitment to Sharecare.
