-Product quality is heading downhill.
-Customers aren't happy.
-Business pours money into centralized support functions and "exciting new programs" that serve little purpose/function beyond pumping up the talent annually and creating more unnecessary paperwork for managers.
-Managers are not supported by leadership at all. Leadership provides lip service to ideas of support and personal growth. It all sounds like it comes straight out of the latest MBA program, but there is no real action/follow through. They are all too busy ensuring that the hourly workforce doesn't unionize.
-Work-life balance is not celebrated here.
-You are expected to dedicate your entire life to Shaw, but don't expect any promotions or raises beyond low annual COLAs that don't keep up with inflation. Cronyism at it's finest.
-I laugh at all of the responses here that say to "reach out to your HR representative." Be careful, there. HR is given more power than I've ever seen in a corporate environment. They dig their tentacles in deep, looking for the latest seditious piece of gossip to spread around the other facilities. You can expect full retaliation if you cross them. Incredibly unprofessional and uneducated.
-Lots of budget cuts taking place. A result of over-expanding to meet a changing market, but not in all of the right areas/ways.
-All-in-all, a very dated, beauracratic, cumbersome work environment.
