Pros

assigned equipment, set routes, power jacks, 4 day work week. If you are absolutely sure that driving a commercial vehicle on a delivery route is the direction you want to go then Shaw is a good company but, this is not a profession where the worker is fairly compensated for the risks.

Cons

Some days can go over 14 hours, Penske is the maintenance vender and can be unreliable.

Freedom to set your own schedule.

Cons

Benefits (especially healthcare) are a nightmare. No benefits option for domestic partners, which should be illegal, but company doesn’t care because of their conservative values. Also, very high deductible plans with huge premiums. Overreaction to shifts in market include firing good people.
