Has potential for improvement A suggestion box for improvements and getting a quality committee together might help if the management took it seriously.

Cons

Long hours, fruitless meetings, congestion and confusion are the norm.

Global locations and experience; Some great and professional people in the industry; Attention to safety and incident free;

Cons

Today's ShawCor is totally different from the past when Shaw family was the largest shareholder. No more sense of being a member of the working family. Everything/everyone is more a $ number. The competitiveness and strength of the company is declining as key technical people and growth-oriented senior managers have left the company.

Pros

Excellent culture promoted top down. Right from the President, safety and engagement are #1 and #2 priorities. Great place to work. Rewarded often when performing. Lots of room for advancement.

Cons

Some communication challenges as expected from a large company, but they are trying.
