Pros

They match your 401k up to 6% and vacation time increases every year. Assistant mangers basically run the store so you need good part timers.

Cons

Being assistant manager means you have to work most Saturdays and close about 4 days a week. Most of the managers are lazy.

Great company

Pros

Outstanding benefits, decent salary, job ladder that is clearly defined and obtainable for most, for a "people" person this is a very fulfilling job

Cons

Store hours (weekends, sometimes late nights), on your feet most of the day (can be seen as a benefit to some), as a manager you are expected to work nearly 50 hours and sometimes this is not enough, assistants - 44 hours, product line is extensive and difficult to learn, corporate people are not always available when you need them, technology in stores is outdated and slow

Pros

The benefits and pay are some of the best I've seen. They have a lot of nice resources since they're a large company.

Cons

Work/life balance isn't good. The tasks can be very mundane and tedious.
