Pros

Challenging work. You get to see the fruits of your labor. Most customers are extremely enjoyable to deal with. You are eligible for a Company Paid Pension, as well as a 401K plan that matches up to 6% of your contributions. Also get 4 hours of holiday pay on major holidays. You get some vacation time pay. This is mostly unheard of in any part-time job. Not bad if you want to get in the door or learn the business. Good job for students or retirees.

Cons

Being short staffed quite a bit of the time. Hard to get a full time position with the company. Non Management personnel are ineligible for any bonus compensation. So not much of an incentive at times to be an overachiever. This causes morale problems, laziness, and high personnel turnover. To become even considered for a management position you are required to have a 4 year college degree.

Pros

401 K match, benefits are OK, & free popcorn on Tuesday's!

Cons

Been here 3yrs. & going on 3rd plant manager, so that says alot! They promote who they feel they can control! They overlook alot of good hard workers( with degrees) because they don't have that look or if they're female, or non white! Management sucks! They implement alot of rules that they never follow through on! And if you start asking questions about money( valshare) they never have an answer and will send you in circles for the same "I'll get back to you on that "! answer. When they give raises, the people who actually work the hardest gets the short end of the stick all the time. But yet management always wants the ideas from the very same workers they screw( stolen so many ideas and take credit for it) They treat the production workers like crap but yet it's our sweat that gets them those nice bonus checks they get every quarter, while we wait to the end of the year for our valshare( and hope we get all of that because they won't explain if we met goal or not)!

Pros

Good pay and good benefits. The company likes to promote from within.

Cons

As someone previously mentioned, psychological & emotional bullying/mobbing are alive and well within this company. I have seen employees targeted for removal by management (after voicing concerns, or making a mistake on the job). These employees are treated/labeled as 'problem employees', and conditions are made so difficult for the employees over time (through subtle, difficult-to-prove forms of mistreatment) that they either quit, or are terminated after the performance evaluation system has been used against them. If the employee leaves, the aggressors act surprised. As a co-worker, witnessing this counterproductive behavior permeates a culture of fear and silence (if you say something, you could be the next target).
