      Terrible Management

      Pros

      There’s much to learn from other engineers and developers, I think a lot of people are initially drawn to the pace / mission / opportunity and there’s some good talent there. I think the company will survive for some time due to military ties and funding, but who knows after that

      Cons

      Management is pretty bad. Constant mixed signals / directives and that only leads to frustration. Emphasis on putting in hours vs actually doing novel and advanced work (I question the technology too, but that’s a different story). Lots of talent is and will continue to leave. Culture is also pretty bad, lots of guys pretending to be hardos but not actually contributing.

      Solid growth with sacrifices

      Pros

      Interesting and demanding projects. Everyone is smart and driven and is trying to make the product better. Have a decent day into what you’d like to work with. It is very dependent on which product and team you’re on since some can seem more boring or more demanding.

      Cons

      The salary, office setup, and benefits are not up to par to other unicorn startups. No liquidity events so the stock is useless. There are sacrifices to safety that occur, but it’s getting better (there’s a Forbes article on this).
