Pros

Shift4 Payments is an extremely fast-growing company and a wonderful place to work! They treat you like a person, not an employee. That’s reflected in the benefits and how management approaches employees. During my first 3 years at Shift4 Payments I've met some of the most talented people ever. I believe my experience and my skills helped other people get better at what they do. And also, I learned a lot from them.

Cons

It’s hard to write cons because I genuinely enjoy the company. There are challenges that you have to deal with. But in my experience, those challenges in every company in different stages. Our growth as a company and also as a unit in Lithuania was enormous and that resulted in learning how to deal with certain obstacles as they arise. So for people who are not fond of challenges and believe in perfect world, this situation may seem like "Cons". For me - it is part of my personal growth.

Pros

- The company never stops looking at what is around the next corner in regards to building a full ecosystem in the payments space. Very exciting to be part of that; - Great people; - Competitive benefits package; - Management seems to really care about each team member.

Cons

- Office space was a bit cramped prior to the pandemic.

Pros

a.) individual decision-makers have a lot they can bring to the table and are able to make an impact. upper management seems to listen to employees and "low level" (entry level) employees can use their voice to pitch ideas. b.) company just went public on NYSE and is growing despite COVID. c.) there's a lot of opportunity for growth, personally and professionally d.) the company encourages upwards mobility and employees seem to frequently move through departments, management is good with employees applying to other departments for growth. e.) the story behind the company is inspiring, and it's great to be able to walk around the offices (pre-COVID) and easily connect with executive leadership. f.) the technology is super cool! people don't realize how complex and intricate the technology is and everyone works together to make it happen

Cons

They pay below market rate for probably 70% of employees openings and the benefits leave a lot to be desired. employees only start with 1 week of vacation, there's no paid maternity/paternity leave, no standardized bonus program, no education reimbursement, and some offices don't even have a mothers lactation room. the money seems to be there....invest in the employees. some employees make well over the market averages, and others do not. there needs to be an increase in wages and benefits in order to remain a competitive employer in a tight job market. the executive leadership preaches how important the employees are - so they should be compensated to reflect that. the good news is that they seem to have hired good people who are pushing to put this into effect. turnover in some departments, primarily support, is high and should be evaluated further.
