Pros

Good set of co-workers, not so bad work/life balance and beer on Friday.

Cons

Management is totally unfair. They don't know how to manage their employees. Obvious favoritism is in play as well. As an employee expect no encouragement from management if one's sincere or persevering kind. The company also has a very poor attrition rate so one should not expect his/her job to be a stable one when working here. Compensation is also very meager.

Low pay, work all day!

Pros

Great team members! Catered lunch on Wednesdays (which has been getting worse since I got here).

Cons

Leadership is so out of touch with rest of the teams, and treats us like we're expendable. People don't get paid what they deserve for the immense value they provide. Recognition is not given, and expectations are abusively high. If leadership understood just how much work we put in to keep this place afloat, they wouldn't treat us like dirt. Also, stop hiring people. You don't have any more parking spaces, and the office is crowded. The culture is fake. Made-up by leadership in order to pay people less, and to make themselves feel better about themselves.

Pros

The benefits and perks are great. My favorite perk being the free food. The morale is impressive, granted the energy and vibe varies across departments. The product is solving a unique problem with room to grow and build upon, making it really engaging to work on. It's an exciting time to be a part of Shipstation, especially since they are growing rapidly. The management team has a lot of great leadership.

Cons

I don't know how my pay compared to others', however from my view, pay was low. It was one of the main selling points for my leaving, despite shipstation being a great place to work. It can get cliquey.
