Pros

Most employees are friendly and helpful, unlimited pto, snacks, beer Friday, partially paid health benefits. Ergonomic tech also provided if necessary.

Cons

Unprofessional management who do not adhere to common hr practices or meritocracy. Morale is often low due to frequent unreliability of the actual product and with product integrations, which leads to interdepartmental rifts and unhappy customers. To add insult to injury, the bandage fix for the morale issue usually involves baked goods, when they should be upping the subpar employee salaries.

Pros

This is the best team I've worked with in my career. Because of our rapid growth, there are basically unlimited opportunities in engineering. Leadership is extremely open to your input and ready to give you a shot to steer projects and ideas.

Cons

We're growing rapidly. We're really profitable, so we're hiring and expanding our roadmap. That means the org evolves every six months or so. It's tough but rewarding. We have some legacy code issues. Management is very dedicated to addressing them. The CEO knows what "tech debt" is and believes in the importance of paying it down. Still, new folks hired need time to learn and navigate things.

Pros

The unlimited PTO. Fellow employees are usually kind, wonderful people.

Cons

Management, management, management. They'll say one thing to your face and the opposite behind your back. Unsupportive and out of touch with their teams. You now have to pay for your health insurance here, there's no room to grow, and people are promoted even if they're incompetent.
