Pros

It's a job. I really have nothing else. I liked some of my co-workers.

Cons

PAY! Required to work 48 hours - the salary is laughable. I dont think anything is legal in the company. Nothing is provided for employees, such as microwave, refrigerator, HOT WATER. They expect you to fix everything yourself and I mean everything. Electrical, plumbing you name it. You will NEVER once hear a positive word from anyone higher than your DM. No thank you. No good jobs. I could go on but it's giving me PTSD.

Pros

It's a good place to work if you're desperate. You will gain a lot of experience in management, and it's a good stepping stone, but you will be miserable.

Cons

This was by far the worst job I have ever had. Managers are required to work a minimum of 48 hours per week, with a minimum of three closes per week. The only way to work that and have two days off per week is to work a 12 hour shift every single week. Most weeks I was having to work 55-60 hours and often times 65 hours during peak holidays. There is absolutely no work/life balance here. As a Store Manager I was making what the average sales associate at Walmart makes. You are extremely overworked and very under-appreciated. The POS systems are very outdated, as are their shipment methods. You never know what you're going to get on truck, so you can never adequately prepare the sales floor for shipment. Often times stores are still working out shipment through the weekend, which is a disaster. The sales associates and key holders are never allowed to receive raises, resulting in an extremely high turnover rate. You're constantly needing to hire new people but the company doesn't provide you with tools to recruit so you literally have to wait for someone to walk in and apply in store. It's frustrating as a manager to not be able to reward your hard working employees. You are never given sales plans, KPI's, margin budgets, or any tools to help improve your business. You don't have your own desk, let alone a computer or organizational tools. No email. If you have your phone on you, you will be fired on the spot. Upper management is unrealistic, extremely unprofessional, and unreliable. You will burn out mentally (and physically) very quickly here. Do yourself a favor, and look for employment elsewhere. Leaving this company was the best thing I've ever done.

This company is horrible

Pros

Well the pay isn't bad. Monday through Friday, most major holidays off, vacation days after a year. Typical office pros.

Cons

The management is absolutely horrible. If you are female, the chances of you getting treated with any respect is unlikely. Men are treated as part of the "boys club" there and women are treated like lowly secretaries. Our opinions didn't matter. Such a double standard. Raises are minimal. The owners will not back anyone up when management is a problem. They don't care, but talk as if they are wonderful, Christian people. In reality, they are hypocrites.
