Pros

Decent pay and good benefits the district I worked in was great and the treatment was very fair across the board no favoritism

Cons

48 hour work week is to much for this type of retail management and working alone In a store for long days and hours is insane

Pros

Hard working associates and nice customers.

Cons

They treat there employees like slaves. I was working 80 -90 hours a week fro 2 months. I quit because the stress was to much handle. They would not hire any key holders to hlp me out and I was told "to suck it up" . Training is the worst I have seen in my 12 plus years in retail management. The owner needs to look into the way his district managers treat there associates.

Pros

Commission based selling allows for extra money to be made Discount (not a great one, but better than some!) Great co-workers

Cons

Successful company that is thriving by standing on the backs of their employees. Employees are not appreciated by Shoe Show as a corporate entity and hone office doesn't try to hide it. Lack of organized training for Store Managers creates confusion, miscommunication, and frustration across the board. Outdated, unhealthy views on appearance and dress code requirements (ex. No athletic shoes allowed, even though you are on your feet all day and doing a tremendous amount of walking, squatting, standing on concrete). Salary is not equal to the amount of responsibility required by managers/key holders. It is against Shoe Show policy for key holders to have a second job, but Shoe Show salaries are not enough to make ends meet.
