Pros

-Excellent balance between personal and professional life. -The work environment is not very stressful. There are days that you will need to put more hours but work load is easy to handle. - Excellent work environment with a lot of knowledgeable people in the area of acoustic. -There is open door policy and most upper managers are very approachable. - Very diverse. You encounter people of any culture in this company. Very respectful. Typical of Chicago. -Company sales has grown exponentially.

Cons

- When I joined the company in early. It use to be a very personable company. The CEO and the owner use to stop by everyone's desk and say hi , addressing each employee by their name. Now it has grown so much that became those type of big corporate environments where the associate is just one of the many. - Compensation and salary are not very competitive. - Recently they have hire a lot of young professional who just graduated from school. These kids thinks they are very knowledgeable and don't respect for senior workers who have been with the company many years and knows the reality of the world. -Moved a lot manufacturing jobs out of the USA.

Pros

Full of people passionate about audio and the products we make Best-in-class audio circuitry and DSP across the product line Outstanding musical and general corporate culture Healthy work-life balance

Cons

Things in general move slowly. Shure has been very successful for a long time, and is reluctant to change some of its old ways. People tend to never leave once they get to Shure. Not a bad thing to love where you work, but perhaps its a bit too comfortable in some regards.
