Pros

Generally nice people, free drinks, and they bring in lots of lunches.

Cons

Senior Management consistently tolerates poor treatment of employees with little to no recourse. In one case, it took all of one Director's direct reports to quit before they finally fired that Director. On the other hand, they pushed out a Director who was very strong in her role. In that case, her direct reports resigned. Sub-par analytics and reporting infrastructure.

Pros

Gain good work community as we all struggled through the ever changing initiatives and direction based on the ever changing leadership.

Cons

In the 3 years I worked for this company, there were 2 CEOs 3 CMOs and 2 vice presidency of marketing. Each time C suite changed so did the brands strategies that were barely in place from the previous leadership. It was a headache trying to keep up with individual leadership personal preferences for how the teams should preform. The longest standing employee when I left was there for 3.5 years. No foundation. Yearly layoffs must be expected as it is there way. Do not expect bonuses even if goals are met. When layoffs do happen team leaders are left out of the know causing everyone confusion and mistrust during the January February time of year.

Pros

As someone who has been in print for many years, I was excited to join Shutterfly as I viewed them as a forward-thinking techno savy company. I have been blown away at the culture, as I have never felt so appreciated for my knowledge and experience. The Kumbaya Culture and benefits are amazing: DTO (discretionary time off), ability to work from home, stock options (invest in what you believe in), etc. My team is amazing, my direct supervisor is helpful, responsive and keeps pushing me to increase my life/work balance. After working for companies who see their employees as liabilities instead of assets, this is a breath of fresh air!

Cons

Headquarters is in California and sometimes is not as responsive or thoughtful on unilateral decisions affecting all divisions.
