Pros

I recently joined the company and have been impressed by the warm and professional atmosphere. My manager has been incredibly welcoming, making the transition smooth and enjoyable. The team is collaborative and supportive as well.

Cons

The company went through some transitions recently, which brings some changes—but it also creates opportunities for growth.

So sad…

Pros

Great front line team members to work with. Professionals

Cons

The CEO changes out local leaders like an episode from Game of Thrones. Local leaders are just puppets. No one knows what is going on or what the direction is. Everyone is watching over their shoulders to see if they will be the next to be fired. Sad to see the wasted opportunity

Pros

Pay and benefits. That’s literally it…

Cons

Sibeclo (Unimin) used to be a wonderful company filled with local leaders who knew the company, people, and processes. Family oriented, holiday observant, bonuses, high morale, outstanding safety, quality, production, and more. But now… new leaders have came in, fired the locals, and completely ruined a huge cohesive family. The quality and safety is horrific. Zero training, zero trust, zero accountability. You’re a number to senior and local leadership. You will be thrown under the bus and backed over if it benefits their end goal. Sibelco was the most desired job in all surrounding counties… now it is by far the least desirable anywhere around and employees with 20 years plus are leaving for major pay cuts just to get away from the new leadership. The only local leaders remaining are puppets that continue to push horrible ideology and agenda set forth by senior leadership, due to being job scared. The morale among employees is simply sad. I don’t think it could be worse. They are not taken care of or cared about whatsoever. The Spruce Pine Plants are beyond fixable without a complete overhaul of plants and leadership.
