Incredible company doing HUGE things to transform healthcare

Pros

It's a small but mighty team. So much passion and energy. Everyone is here to solve the broken healthcare system. Our leadership is incredibly impressive and very approachable. There's tons of transparency. Lots of ownership. Great culture.

Cons

We're growing fast and trying to build the plane as we're flying. Pace is fast. Definitely not for people who are uncomfortable with ambiguity.

Pros

Great team and culture, big focus on benefits and taking care of employees by giving them flexibility and compensating them adequately

Cons

Being a fast-growing startup, they should have more focus on loyalty to early hires and give a chance to promoting from within rather than aggressively recruiting new management to run ongoing projects they are not familiar with

Thanks for the feedback. We're doing our best to build out all of our people programs to support each individual's growth and development and ensure there's a clear career path mapped out for everyone. And yet, as the company grows it requires lots of different, diverse skill sets and experiences to set us up for success and shape our future. We're trying to balance both and very much value growing from within - plenty of examples of directors who started as ICs and are now building out their teams. We expect more of that as our manager and leadership training programs evolve over the rest of 2022.

Pros

The people and the mission of changing the health insurance landscape have been the best experience of working with Sidecar. Employees truly believe in the mission, and it has been inspiring watching strategies come to fruition. The company is focused on the member experience, and internal and external associates have similar problem-solving demeanors, which gets things done.

Cons

Like any growing company, processes can be fluid as they are fine-tuned. Agility and flexibility are good qualities to have in order to adapt to process changes.
