Pros

401k matching great, health benefits industry standard. The bonuses are great despite missing all actual goals last year (I.e. DreamChaser to the cape), especially for senior leaders.

Cons

Toxic leadership, very top heavy with too many directors, VPs, SVPs for the number of products they are putting out. No clear organization because of this. All the bureaucracy of a legacy company without the aerospace expertise leads to painfully slow progress. You are constantly creating PowerPoints to justify the simplest approval, by the time it goes through the undefined approval process you have to start over because constant reorganization has changed who is ‘responsible’. Essentially progress grinds to a halt. Company brags about the almost $300million Series B funding round ‘success’ but Tom Vice actually failed to secure the funding needed to continue long term. He attempted to get Saudi backers but they saw the reality, DreamChaser is being built in a warehouse pretending to be a clean room, led by a mostly aviation background leadership that have no real understanding of the launch industry. Extensive layoffs are coming down the pipeline in order to keep DreamChaser going.

Pros

Above average compensation. Beautiful facility. Very smart and competent people at the tactical level. Too bad the company doesn't listen to them.

Cons

All cut-throat politics, no leadership. Every department working toward their own agenda and against each other, with poor communication, lack of collaboration, and no cohesiveness. Parent company SNC's legacy systems, from time keeping to employee policies, are outdated, archaic, and will be what drowns this 'start-up.' 1-year wait on 401k with 6-year vest is not market competitive. Zero flexibility for RTO or work life balance in general. New CPO lacks even an ounce of human compassion. New CTO, who was fired from SpaceX, is so anti-female that he's a liability. Abrasive, bullying, toxically competitive behavior is rewarded instead of corrected. Leaders are merely figureheads, acting as CEO's yes-people. He may have vision, but the team he's assembled from his prior company are just groupies, and for an organization to be truly great he must harness the power of the worker bee talent and direct them to execute with a plan, not just drink the Koolaid. It's all smoke and mirrors, no substance.

Pros

Great pay- They really threw money at folks to get them to stay. Bonuses, overtime, stock. Great Project- Dream Chaser was super fun to work on.

Cons

New management- Completely disconnected from the needs of the company, not unified. Too many new managers came in with the idea to change/fix everything, and just made everything worse. Huge number of folks left, everyone with a plan and idea of how the business worked. Crazy overtime. All the new folks hit the ground fresh, dont understand its a marathon where folks had already been putting in 50+hrs a week for years, demanded 55 hrs (for a short period)
