Pros

I've been working at Sigma for almost 6 months now and it's been once of the best decisions I've ever made. The product roadmap is phenomenal and upper management is incredibly caring and transparent. Everybody works hard and is passionate about their work, yet everybody maintains a relaxed vibe. Office perks include plenty of snacks, free lunches, and about every form of coffee you could ever imagine.

Cons

I can't think of any.

You've been inundated with snacks and coffee- our master plan is working! In all seriousness, thanks a bunch for your feedback. Hearing that Sigma has become such an integral career decision or you is high praise. We take it as our responsibility to make sure that our people feel fulfilled and challenged in their roles. Our goal is to not only impact your time with us, but to provide a stepping stone to the rest of your career. Thank you for being one of our passionate BD all-stars!

Pros

Coworkers are friendly and talented. So lunches are fun, and there's always a person a couple cubes away to help you get unblocked. I feel like a company mentioning they have a good work/life balance is like a person telling you they don't like drama -- if it were true, they wouldn't be bringing it up. Start time is flexible; tasks are well-scoped and well-documented; and no one seems over-worked. The "legacy" code here is like six months old, yet we still seem to be getting things done. A credit to the team and the culture, I suppose.

Cons

It'd be nice to grow more diverse as we introduce new members to the team.

Yay for work-life balance! That's a keen observation and we agree- a good work life balance is evident in company culture. So glad that you also brought up diversity, we've been making a major push in that area and we hope you've noticed. Sigma should reflect the diverse array of talent that's out there, thank you for caring about this too!

Pros

Talented and well-connected executive leadership High-growth, exciting environment Collaborative spirit Roles are largely self-directed We're taking on a bloated, $20B, mired-in-mediocrity industry Engaged, knowledgeable investors

Cons

Most roles don't exist until the hire is made, so you have to be comfortable finding your own way

We love the title of your review, it really sums up what we try to embody as a fast-paced startup. Like you, we find the autonomy of many roles here very exciting! But as you mentioned, it's definitely not for everyone. Having self-starters like you on the ground floor of our team is important to us. Self-driven leaders are our secret sauce to taking on that massive $20B industry! We agree - we need more developers to join! We have many positions open for this and would love referrals.
