Pros

This is a great place to be if you have lots of ideas and love problem solving. There is a lot of independence to explore the areas you find interesting and to contribute to a product that you can be proud of. This company values both collaboration and independence and really empowers the employees to make important decisions themselves while providing support when needed. Sigma also treats each employee as a person first and that creates a company where each person feels valued. We also champion caffeination and the company provides many different forms of it!

Cons

There aren't many rules or best practices for how things get done, but the flip side of that is that we get to help make and change those as we grow!

We're really proud of the product too :) This review hit home with us because achieving a state where everyone feels respected and valued is always a challenge for a small company growing incredibly fast. We love hearing that you're feeling right at home here. Thank you for helping us build the culture our team deserves.

Pros

It's an amazing small start up that highly values your work and it is a place to make an impact. Everyone collaborates and cares about their work. It is a great environment where everyone can learn from each other.

Cons

Hiring a good talent is a challenge and it sure slows down the process to fill the empty seats.

The team mentality is an ultra important part of what makes us who we are as a company; we're so glad you agree! And yes, hiring great talent sure is hard, and we're highly discerning. That makes it even harder, but this way, we end up with people like you who all share our values. Thank you for everything you contribute to our collaborative culture.

Pros

I love my job. There is always so much going on, and every week is fast paced and exciting. Because the company is so young, I am able to interact with all members of the company daily and really feel like my voice is heard. As a group, we have a very strong focus on building a product that we are proud of and that we want to be users of ourselves. This mentality has built a strong foundation for a team with strong work ethics and no room or desire for egos getting in the way. Mentorship has also been awesome here. I started as a fairly junior engineer, and over the course of my time here I have received guidance and support from every member of our engineering team. This includes our two awesome founders, who take the time and care to work with all of their employees towards growing a great team and building a product that we can all be proud of.

Cons

For me, there really haven’t been any cons. If working at a startup is not for you, then right now, Sigma probably is not the right fit. But if you want to work at a young company, then any growing pains are worth the opportunity you will find here.

We love that you love your job. Need we say more? That first line you wrote is everything to us. We think it's so rare that people genuinely, 100% love what they do, so Sigma culture is engineered to help everyone achieve their own personal career zen. Thank you for embracing the opportunity to learn from your mentors. In a startup like ours, you get out what you put in and it sounds like you've been all in!
