NPs Avoid at all cost!

Pros

Easy work, Autonomy, low stress, easy job to land in an oversaturated market. NP managers are excellent, care about their NPs and will advocate for them. Unfortunately, that's where the advocacy and respect for NPs stops.

Cons

This company has steadily declined since Censeo merged with Advance Health to create Signify in January 2019. I've often been sent to cities far away from where I live that I did not agree to go to, sometimes driving 3-4+ hours round-trip to do visits and only receiving $40/day for travel expenses. Pay is decent per visit but when you divide out the excessive time spent driving (unpaid), some days I made more as a new graduate RN in the 1990's. No reimbursement for members who are not home, which happens regularly. Excessive time spent charting in the evenings because its near impossible to finish charting in the homes, as appointments are scheduled hourly but are often located 30+ minutes apart. Expectation is that the visits will last 50 minutes but insufficient drive time allotted between visits. Consistently running behind and apologizing to members for being late, which is out of the NP's control due to poor scheduling system. Some areas are sketchy/borderline dangerous which presents risks that other jobs do not. Recruiters (who do the scheduling) do not listen to requests and are poor communicators. Full-time benefits are determined quarterly based on average number of visits done, although NP has no control over number of visits scheduled and whether or not members will actually be home at scheduled time of visit.

Thank you for your review. Signify Health appreciates feedback for continuous improvement in our processes. Currently our member engagement coordinators call and schedule the members for a time that is convenient for them. A reminder call is completed 2 business days prior to the scheduled appointment time. We strive to have the members keep their appointment times, but there are situations when the member has to cancel.
