Great place for data scientists to grow

Pros

Data science and machine learning is the company's core product. If you are interested in that space, this place is an amazing place to learn and grow. High trust environment for people to get their work done. Company in a scaling mode to bridge that chasm between late stage startup and hopefully exit event. Did you hear about the 4 day work week? Yes, many of us work on Fridays to get ahead, but the flexibility is unrivalled.

Cons

Nearly 100% remote culture means you need to work hard to stay abreast of what's going on. There are headwinds in the market. It's unclear if 100% of the marketplace wants GFP. The company is in a challenging situation, but there's a lot of learning as we figure things out.

There's a lot of companies out there with "AI" in the name but I think we sometimes fail to recognize how deep in AI/ML Signifyd actually is and how high stakes our work is. I also love to hear your feedback about the flexibility, which we do believe is a cornerstone of our culture! Thank you for the feedback regarding the market and our product, especially upmarket. As with any new solution, it obviously takes time to determine what the market really wants and the best way to go about meeting customers' needs, but we are expecting 2025 to be a year that brings much more clarity around what to focus on and specifically a better bridge between the business and customers, and our Product teams so they can focus on building features and products that will be relevant to our various types of customers. Good company; great data science team

Pros

Really interesting data science team to work in. We build models and decisioning systems to prevent fraudulent online shopping while enabling legitimate purchases. - We have skin in the game. If our model underperforms Signifyd loses money. - We have an adversarial problem: people are actively trying to circumvent our model. Constant refreshes and new approaches required. - Data science team has great open/collaborative culture. - Signifyd Belfast has some great benefits: free lunch/snacks (when in the office not in a pandemic), health insurance inc. dental and optical, nice office space with socials etc

Cons

Collaboration with West Coast US can stretch the working day.

We view that as a critical differentiator in a very competitive market for talent, in addition to taking care of our employees and having an authentic, inclusive culture!
