Shoddy company with poor career prospects

Pros

Small. Everyone knows everybody else. No structure. You can generally do what you want.

Cons

Company has no idea about good UI design or QA. Feature creep is paramount and shipped software is shoddy quality. Some employees are primadonnas who think of themselves as superior engineers, but really are in for a wake-up call when they eventually work for a real company that ships quality products and see what real engineering is. Benefits are basic. Compensation is pathetic.

Pros

The TCAD team offers challenging technological work and is profitable. All other groups understaffed, behind competition and starved of talent.

Cons

Extreme monitoring of employees, below-market compensation, most product lines severely understaffed and falling behind competition, overall lack of focus, direction and good business sense. Everything is very exaggerated and political. Employees are called "Silvacans".
