Pros

San Diego has pretty weather...?

Cons

Revolving door. Punitive enviornment. If a family is grieving and complains EVERYONE present is blamed. No recognition for a job well done. Your job may disappear and you will never know what happened. Some people are not paid a living wage (yes, even nurses).

Thank you for your more than 5 years of service to Silverado, our residents, patients and clients. Our Home Office Human Resources team would love the opportunity to speak with you about your experience at Silverado. Your input helps us become better as supporting our current and future associates. We strive to create a culture where LOVE is greater than fear. If that was not your experience, we would value the opportunity to speak with you in more detail so we can learn from your own Silverado story.

Pros

Families and residents are wonderful. Some of your coworkers are great

Cons

Management doesn't have realistic views of the job they expect to be completed. They bring in more residents but fail to hire more caregivers. Caregivers treated like they are expendable. Family members of residents fight for caregivers but are ignored if they don't threaten to move out. Expect nurses to work overtime of the clock. Hard worker beware only people who brown nose get real raises the rest get pocket change. New hires make more than caregivers hired 10 years prior. raises are usually between 10-50 cents...you will never get 50 cents though. Liked CEO until recently seems even he is going against his own mission statement.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and for the time you dedicated to our residents, patients and clients at Silverado. Silverado takes pride in the fact that we compensate our associate higher than the market industry averages and provide annual opportunities for increases. We value our associates and many have been recognized for their efforts. We have many caregivers who have been recognized by state and national organizations for their extraordinary service, and many of our current leaders have been promoted and/or taken on greater responsibilities. Feel free to contact the Home Office Human Resources team so we can better address your concerns. We value your feedback, we hope that we can continue to learn from our associates and that Silverado will continue to be a great place to work.

Pros

Great company philosophy, at the time I was there great people, CEO/Founders with vision, allows pets at the work place.

Cons

Raises are minimal if non existent, turnover seemed high, they have expanded rapidly in the last 5 years and I'm not sure how the company has dealt with the growth, they were known for their warm corporate culture.
