Pros

Associates, residents, and families make the work very rewarding! The engagement actives offered to all residents is really enriching for the residents.

Cons

HR is supposed to help protect associates, but instead they bully people into shutting up or quitting. It's very sad when people fully believe in the culture created by Loren and Steve, and want to be a part of giving LIFE to the residents, but feel like they aren't wanted because they express concerns. Also, insufficient training and staffing. There is no wonder the company has such a high turnover rate.

Pros

The Residents and their families!!

Cons

Everything!!! Salary, management, food, taking the passed residents out the Back door, like they are garbage!! All they care about is Money, Certainly not their employees, who are not management. It gave me an ulcer, but was not allowed to take a medical leave when doctor ordered it!! No breaks, bark=ely time for lunch!!

Silverado Response

I am so sorry to hear that you had a negative experience during your time at Silverado. We certainly strive to make this a great place to work, especially since our associates make Silverado the great company that we are. We take great pride in the care we provide to our residents and their families. Often times, and out of respect for our residents, families and associates, residents who have passed away are taken by ambulance out of an exit other than our main entrance. We certainly thank you for your service to our residents and their families during your time at Silverado.

Pros

The residents make the job worth the daily struggles and challenges. Most leadership show a true drive and commitment to Silverado's philosophy LOVE<FEAR.

Cons

No appreciation by administrator. Census driven with no regards to day to day management. Numbers are primary focus with lack of regard to human lives. No clue of what's going on on the floor with hourly associates. Every department is essential to success. Administrators Expectations unreachable. Belief that people should not be appreciated or thanked for "doing their jobs" great because it is their job they should be doing it any away.
