Terrible Company

Pros

Work/life balance. That's about it.

Cons

Upper management and HR permit discrimination, bullying, gossip which can be defamatory in nature, all to go on and they will support the perpetrator rather than the victim. There is a high ranking manager that is probably racist because he treats Latinos differently and what he does is he makes up complaints about people he doesn't like in order to get them to quit or face derogatory disciplinary action.

Pros

Parking garage at North Oklahoma City location and paid twice a month

Cons

Simmons Bank in Oklahoma City does not offer equal opportunities to all who are qualified. Most of management are egotistical and they share an agenda that only benefits themselves and those who look like them. There is next to no diversity which is a direct contradiction to the company's website that states "We believe that our diversity is a strength, and that diverse backgrounds, experiences and cultures make us stronger as a company. We strive for a workplace that fosters this type of environment, and we seek to employ and retain individuals who not only respect these differences but thrive in an environment where they are abundant."

Assistant Branch Manager

Pros

Very laid back and family environment. Some creative freedom to create a culture for your branch to cater to customer needs. Sales are implied, but you won't get fired per say if you don't hit goals; just won't get incentive pay. Some products are really top of the line. Constantly growing so there is room for advancement.

Cons

Training is really missing on core elements. Being short staff can actually hurt your location when it comes to meeting certain expectations. Certain aspects of branch operations are still technologically behind other competitors.
