Great culture. The CEO is the real deal and down to earth values. Sincerely care about the employees. Simmons has the potential to be one of the best places to work and thrive.

Cons

Simmons has the potential to be one of the best places to work and thrive, except in IT where management will not get out of the way and let you do your job. If you're looking for Best Practices or Development Standards along with peer code reviews, keep looking because as I was told, "They're not needed or necessary here." This is one area where "free-thinkers" are not welcome and every meeting is started with a "chant". The IT dept has those that do not understand or really care about IT, it's all about power and how to keep that power. The unspoken philosophy is to surround yourself with others that also do not come from IT backgrounds but out of the factories instead. One critical word will get you tossed.

If you're related to someone high up it's easy to move up. The nepotism is beyond reality there. It also helps if you keep your nose firmly up someone's butt. The only way to move up is to kiss butt.

Cons

All the cons. 12 hour shifts, smells horrible, micromanaged, favoritism, nepotism, ethical dilemmas, disregard for product safety, declining production orders, it's as if even our customers know what's happening.
