      Talks the talk, doesn't walk the walk

      Pros

      Cushy benefits for not much work. Easy bonuses, talks about your mental wellbeing a lot giving days off including all expenses paid trips abroad, this year everyone travelling to Athens for FOUR DAYS

      Cons

      Pandering to their employees means nothing gets done as noone held accountable for targets. Lazy underperforming people still attract discretionary bonuses and payrises due to favouritism Management don't know what they are doing, resting on their laurels and dont know how to grow the company and blame or bully others

      Simply the best company I have worked for

      Pros

      Great company culture which focuses on ensuring it's employees are healthy, happy and enjoying what they do. Interesting work, lots of new challenges and plenty of opportunities to innovate. Lots of companies say they put the individuals first and want their employees to be happy but Simply Business actually means it and follows through on those promises. In my 25 years working for various companies, I have never worked for a company that felt like it put me first. I would recommend Simply Business to anyone seeking an exciting opportunity to innovate with a company that respects your work life balance.

      Cons

      The only thing that I think Simply Business could do better is with their Pension contributions. They currently match employee contributions up to 5% which isn't great for someone at my age. My previous two roles matched up to 10%. That makes a huge difference to your pension.

      Regret ever taking the job to work for them

      Pros

      The only pro I can give is the pay was reasonable.

      Cons

      There were many downfalls working for Simply Business. They take ‘pride’ in promoting treating colleagues fairly and professionally however this was not the case. They only considered what’s best for the business and not for their employees. The way I was treated at Simply Business was appalling, the management was poor and did not consider the mental health and wellbeing of their employees. The role was very demanding and there was a lot of micro managing.
