Pros

The benefits are decent but vacation time is archaic. Singer only offers one week vacation to new hires, making the balance of personal time and work time difficult

Cons

Medical benefits could be better. Favoritism/cronyism is rampant and destroys morale in all departments and offices. If you are bringing in money for the company you can literally get away with ANYTHING. Men are treated well, women not so much.

Leadership is too focused on goals while abandoning the present

Pros

Pay may be good but some positions dont seem permanent, so this seems pointless. You may get new opportunities, but these are often forced, and without transparent communication as to your future and goals in how you fit with this company, again this is short term.

Cons

Mid level management and some executive leadership is not current nor qualified for their entitled position. Some were bought in. Very childish behavior from peers and superiors is experienced weekly. The common industry trend is scaling against heavy competition, draining integrity and chance for a current healthy work environment. Communication is not open door but on company terms. They may be a soundboard for issues but not proactive to address. Strong focus on favored departments and individuals culturally. Talent from this company is limited. Slander is heavy.

Poor leadership, poor culture

Pros

Most managers will let employees arrive late and overtime is encouraged because wages are typically lower than at comparable companies.

Cons

Leadership is old and stuck in their ways. The company is run on antiquated software and will only spend money on executives and sales reps. Very poor culture where employees are generally rude to each other and quick to point fingers when problems arise. Very poor culture and management does not care to improve how employees treat each other or how people approach and solve problems. Managers are also interested in eliminating full-time employees through “improved efficiencies” but nobody seems to have a clue how to do that. Many employees are inept and rewarded for tenure, not performance.
