Supportive coworkers but total lack of transparency

Pros

Work from home, decent pay, plenty of fringe benefits

Cons

The company is lacking in transparency and lies to employees. Other reviews mention employee "departures" due to the "employee's market." Single Grain has been laying off vast swathes of employees with very little notice. I was misled about the nature of my role. I think they are having money issues because they were late paying me and other employees multiple times while I worked for them. Also, if you aren't into crypto or NFTs I would avoid this company. The CEO is a big NFT proponent and is making a big push to indoctrinate employees. Decent diversity though when the layoffs came it seemed like people of color went first.

Toxic environment is an understatement

Pros

None to share at this time

Cons

I encourage people to look at former employee count on LinkedIn, and also ask a former employee what they thought of their time here. In my 2 years, I witnessed wave after wave of layoffs.

Don’t do it

Pros

I don’t think I liked a single thing about working here

Cons

Single Grain was by far the weirdest company I’ve ever been a part of. The toxic culture drives away anyone used to working in healthy environments—which they oddly take pride in—so all that’s left are insecure people competing to stay in Eric’s good graces. Total clowns running the circus vibes. If you accept a job here, expect: Chaos and disorganization Weird culture of constant surveillance Zero onboarding Zero structure A boss with no self awareness Micromanagement AI-generated everything Hours wasted on pointless admin At least 5 meetings a week that could have been slack messages Active encouragement of unethical and spammy practices Coworkers who activate your fight or flight response Focus on quantity and speed over quality Not a single enterprise client, due to the point above If you’ve ever worked at an established and reputable company, trust me, you will not be able to take this place seriously. Luckily I had an offer elsewhere so I didn’t have to stay long.
