Company tried hard to maintain good culture but it's not working

Pros

As an agency, you get to be exposed to working for clients from varying industries and get more hands on experience on all aspects of a project.

Cons

Company/management focus a lot on employee's individual goals and reviews but employee don't seem to get the support from management to execute these goals. For example, our bonus was tied in heavily to the goals we have to achieve, however, our goals can't be related to our day to day work and we don't have additional hours to work on these goals making it hard to achieve these goals. Also, management will ask employees to submit weekly self-eval, but management don't execute any suggestions provided by employees. We don't see any improvements despite providing our feedback.

Pros

Flexible environment with cool perks and benefits. Onboarding was great. The internal team was great to work with and I learned a lot in my time there.

Cons

Lacks overall direction - are we trying to grow the client base? Are we trying to grow with AI? Are we growing internal tools? I never really knew and often wondered if anymore clients coming on board because I never felt safe in the position no matter what I did. There is absolutely no internal processes BESIDES onboarding. After that, it's a whirlwind of all over the place. Feedback is direct, which is good at times. Other times, just saying "Use AI" might not be the answer.

Pros

- Great Benefits - My managers were never breathing down my neck and trusted me to get things done in a timely manner - Flexibility to be able to just get up and take a break for a bit during the day - They work around your schedule - I really felt a sense of work life harmony - The people here really care about your growth and your aspirations Overall, I did enjoy my time at Single Grain and was able to grow immensely during my time there. I did not have much professional experience coming into the position so all I had to show for was my skills and the company took that into consideration which I genuinely can't thank them enough for. The connections I made has lead me to further my career and expand my network.

Cons

- Some company cutbacks due to economy caused some tension but its actively being resolved - Some miscommunication between departments creates fires but they are handled quickly and effectively
