Very memorable summer.

Pros

It was an amazing summer experience that I think everyone should try. Despite the cons, it's all worth it.

Cons

It's hot. You work long hours. The park-goers can get grumpy.

Have to love it

Pros

Cheap housing available, it's a freaking theme park, you can earn a decent amount of money if you're willing to work overtime, you get enough chances to enjoy the park in your off time

Cons

You will be in very close quarters with your crew, which causes tons of high school drama. The hours can be long and six-day work weeks are expected. Living arrangements, though cheap, are not cushy. Internet access is fairly limited.

Good first job

Pros

You get to work with other people your age and get great benefits such as the season pass and "buddy passes" or free tickets to give you friends. Once you do a summer it is fairly easy to return in subsequent summers. If you can prove that you take the job seriously It is a guaranteed paycheck with opportunities for small raises based on seniority. Scholarships and other bonuses targeted towards their young employees are also good if you pursue them.

Cons

HR and management are very demanding and impersonal. They have a very strict image they are trying to communicate for the park and if you do not support it you will be sent home or dismissed. The scheduling system is also very unforgiving and difficult to navigate. All this is really just necessary overcompensation to keep their employees under control because seasonal staff are primarily high school kids.
