Pros

Skydio is an amazing company to work for. The culture of the company overflows with gratitude and appreciation. There is truly a sense of community among each team and teams strive to work well together. Everyone is always willing to help, which to me speaks, to the health and heart of the entire organization. Every day I wake up and look forward to what I get to do. I find it to be exciting and truly enjoy the work that I get to do.

Cons

Just as with any company, there is always going to be days/weeks with tight deadlines and high stakes. There are last minute decisions that create a ripple effect that cause more stress and make the deadline almost out of reach. Thankfully, this stress/pressure is not consistent and it is manageable.

Pros

- Smartest and most humble colleagues in all divisions - Leadership is very transparent with direction and goals - Ability to work on impactful projects and you are able to relate to the vision (ex. a drone alarming a nearby fire = saving tons of land, preventing forest fires, and saving many firefighters) - Competitive compensation with a strong upside on equity - Quality over quantity in hiring and projects - A diverse customer market that allows the company to overcome many economic challenges - 1 week shut down week during Q2 to give everyone time off - Work hard because everyone wants to, not because they have to - Company does a great job in improving areas that are lacking ( ex. DEI - company focused on increasing diverse candidate pool which led to many diverse hiring in the past few quarters). - Despite being a "startup", the company was able to overcome the pandemic, supply chain, chip shortage, and economic downturn challenges (the company went from 100 people at beginning of the pandemic to now 600 employees - many from FAANG). - Consistently raised new rounds of funding from reputable investors

Cons

- still a startup that moves very fast, and sometimes lacks structure and processes - location is far from public transportation

Pros

If you're passionate about drones, AI, or aviation, you will become enthralled by what your coworkers do to bring these things to life. It's a uniquely passionate company; many (if not most) of the people here chose to work here because of the product, and I think those people tend to enjoy their job the most. They've done a good job balancing return-to-work in the post-COVID era. I'm fully remote, but I get out to HQ regularly and feel integral to my team and the company.

Cons

I'm not sure this would be a fun place to work if you cared more about perks, benefits, etc. than about what the company actually does. I don't mean that those things are lacking (they range from fine to very good), but it's more of a "let's do good work and the rewards will follow" than a "we've taken really good care of you, so do good work" culture.
