9yThis is John Tobin. Thanks for your review and it's great to see you are loving your time here so far. On maintaining the "feel", I think you have to be really purposeful about it. It starts with a view of establishing personal relationships with people; and each people manager needs to do that for their 1 - 10 people. We have to evangelize and live our core values and culture and make sure we continue to do that over and over. What I have seen is that our people tell us where we might be going astray and we course correct. So it really is the responsibility of the whole organization to make us still feel as great as it did when we were 100, 500, 1000, 4000, etc. I think having a feedback-driven (or feed-forward : ) ) culture helps with this too. Lastly - I think you need to make things small even as the organization grows. I have seen us do that with different types of communities, different types of activities and various interest groups - all with the idea of creating small pockets of people that will connect. One random example is in our Seattle office (which has about 550 consultants). They annually have neighborhood events - it connects people from different practices and roles and connects you based on a smaller local geography. So while there are many all office things, you mix in smaller community connections. Thanks again for your feedback - JT
