Pros

- Solid benefits and compensation - Good work-life balance for those not in leadership roles - Product is in-demand and the outlook for the business is good

Cons

- Most projects tend to be slow-moving. Everything gets caught up in approvals and the structure is incredibly bureaucratic - Culture is very disjointed from several mergers - Limited upward mobility, rarely promote from within - Staff is overwhelmingly white, and there are little to no efforts to change that. Most of the leadership is also white and male

Feedback from a former Smarshian is so valuable as we are always striving to improve – thank you for taking the time. We do our best to keep our core value of People First as we navigate our growth, and work-life balance is an important factor that we have been working on as a company continuously to address and improve. Given the nature of today’s work, we are emphasizing on practices that foster greater flexibility and autonomy, where individuals are empowered to meet their obligations in ways that work best for them. With regards to opportunities to grow skills and responsibilities, Smarsh absolutely values professional development and provides several learning and development programs that we encourage our employees to participate in to foster their career growth. Hearing your feedback is important, it lets us know we need to create more awareness of these programs.
