      Pros

      The staff below management are awesome to work with.

      Cons

      There are so many it’s hard to list. They have mandatory meeting for independent contractors that aren’t paid. The management seems to intentionally hold back jobs from being installed in favor of their preferred reps jobs. There is almost no visibility on what is going on with jobs that you have given them. The longest I had to wait was 18 months and the project still wasn’t started. Did I mention commissions that are below the industry standards? What about the jobs that are installed have every rep out in the neighborhood you are working during the install? You can find better companies offering better compensation packages in every market they are in. I would advise you to do so.

      Pros

      Leadership for the most part was awesome. CEO is the greatest, Josh was personable and put accountability first when it came to leadership within the company.

      Cons

      On the solar side, it was constantly changing. The solar sales side was managed by Operations, which made middle managing tough with the ever-changing environment. There was a stark separation in culture between the roofing sales team (which is the bread and butter of SmartRoof, and the solar side. This was also particularly frustrating for the individual contributors on the solar side. From my understanding, much of this was corrected after my departure.
