      Pros

      There is a lot of room for growth with the company. Flexible hours and you can work at any Smart and Final to pick up more shifts if you want. If you work HARD and FAST you will be treated like gold. Our customers are wonderful and most of them will treat you very well. Shifts go by very fast because you are working very quickly. It is never a dull moment.

      Cons

      When it is a slow season there are NO hours I got 8 hrs. a week a few times. Managers show favoritism all the way to the top. You will move up quicker if you have a friend or family member who works for the company if not you are stuck with the crappy jobs and crappy hours. The pay is very low for the work you are expected to do. Management does not communicate with each other very well. One manager will tell you to do something a certain way and another will be angry with you for doing it that way.

      Pros

      -Some managers are better than others (will give promotions/raises). -After so long, you get several hours of paid sick leave -There are discounts through this employer for items like cell phone services -They have an OK rated 401k plan according to analysis -From what I hear, they do offer decent medical and dental insurance

      Cons

      -They seem to pay less for the same exact job at competing stores -Raises are hard to come by -Employees (often younger) are making minimum wage after working for years while the older staff make $20+ an hour -Some managers hire outside of the company for higher up jobs, even if they already have people trained to do them in their own store
