Pros

Good product in a great industry. Great location for the company in the Bay Area. There is a lot of potential.

Cons

Very erratically run company. No real vision for the company and the leadership has no idea how to scale in the iOT industry. Great product idea, poor execution and poor partnership with Samsung. The recent large layoff impacted many of my friends, some that have been with the company since the start.

Pros

It's a nice office centrally located in Palo Alto. Lots of nearby restaurants but expensive. Minneapolis office seems very closely knit.

Cons

CEO and Leadership team seems to have little to no vision nor do they seem to care about people working for them. High stress environment due to poor management, broken product and no roadmap.

Pros

Pays pretty well, benefits are decent. Cool industry.

Cons

The management at the company is quite bad. Nobody knows how to control the work to the engineering team. Management is pressured into making decisions that are bad for the company by the parent company. Too many people in charge, yet nobody takes ownership of projects, nobody knows what's going on. "unlimited" vacation policy leads to a lot of passive aggressive politics and stress. Work/life balance is poor / entirely sacrificed by arbitrary deadlines. Few developer standards. Project architecture is a complete mess.
