Ever since I started, the customer experience has been the focus. All of leadership is on the same page, and are able to guide us in the same direction. The support we receive from all levels makes all the difference. Leadership pays attention to who works hard, and ensures the customer is getting the best experience they can and rewards their employees for going above and beyond. Often times the Senior Director will engage with us and provide us with how Smartsheet is working to improve the customer experience. I've never experienced the amount of investment leadership puts into their team, with a merit increase, bonus, and stock options it's hard to not to want to come to work everyday.

Bring NYE back as a holiday.

Pros

After 2 years and a decade in tech across 4 large software companies, Smartsheet has been the most rewarding opportunity in my career. Leadership is consistent and focused, management works to enable you (instead of getting in your way) and sales is performing well. I won't be leaving anytime soon.

Cons

Frugal spending practices (which is likely good for overall company health) - no christmas party etc..but other small community events are held at zoo, and we still have sales kickoff / customer conferences. Hypergrowth means lots of new faces (turnover does not seem high though), constantly which can be a lot to keep up with.

- Bottom-up culture of ownership and action - if you want it to happen the make it happen - Customer obsessed - Leadership is willing to invest in long-term growth and scalability - Smartsheet is in a wide-open market with lots of opportunity to create value for customers - Strong leadership hiring over the last few years - Highly supportive work environment in Product and Engineering - Culture of respectful yet critical feedback - I learn so much from so many great people on a daily basis - Smartsheet customers are fanatical and it's super fun to work with them

Cons

- Benefits lag behind other big companies in the area, but you're doing some trading of benefits for growth upside (Note: Recently got 401k matching but it's not a top-tier match for the industry) - The product desperately needs some modernizing to compete against other more UX-driven experiences built by our competitors - There's a lot of pain for engineering teams right now as we transition through an engineering reorg and move to cloud/microservices, but that is likely to be a temporary/transitionary state - With rapid growth there is some growing pain around ensuring the quality of middle-management remains high, making the
