Pros

Remote work ERG's and DEI groups Professional environment (to a fault)

Cons

Management has either been completely disengaged or engaged to the point of gaslighting. I got great performance reviews, positive feedback from my whole team and direct management, career discussions, offers to be helped to transfer internally to align with my career goals and offers to pay for certifications, (all of which is documented). Then everything changed. As soon as I started negotiating accomidations for a diagnosed dissability with HR and management everything shifted. All of a sudden in the span of a week or so I was fired for "not performing, and missing technical competencies". This came from management that put me in a non-technical role and praised everything I was doing and had only been in place for a quarter. I was completely gaslit on everything including HR who I was discussing my dissability accomidation with.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with this feedback. At Smartsheet we strive to create a culture of belonging that is rooted in respect and opportunity for all people. I’m pleased to hear that our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) made a positive impact on your experience. ERG’s have become the bedrock of our DEI work and help us celebrate diverse voices and experiences, and foster equity to enable people to do and be their best. I’m disheartened to hear about your experience leaving the organization. We take allegations of discrimination very seriously and I’d like to learn more. Please reach out to people@smartsheet so we can continue this discussion. Thank you for your time investment in Smartsheet and for sharing your experience. – Megan Hansen, Chief People & Culture Officer
