Pros

During my interview process, I made sure to magnify what I was looking for and what was important to me. Since I have been in my role, everything that was discussed has remained true. I love how transparent the upper management team is, and the healthy company culture. I can honestly say this is the first company I have worked for that truly matches up with it's company values!

Cons

It was our benefits (2 weeks a year) but upper management listened to current employees and changed it to a flex PTO. This is amazing!! Love having a team that listens to it's employees and moves fast!!

Cons

Weird pay- at market when entry, very low raises even with top performers , resulting in 2 years being below market. When talking to them about this issue they won't match market. Constantly saying pay issue will be revisited but nothing changes. Some political issues. Teams designed to help solve technical problems leverage problems to manipulate to their own needs (eg won't fix this so we can prove another headcount). Also if you aren't a manager or director about 50/50 chance of being ignored by other departments.

Pros

I truly love working at Smartsheet. The people are kind, smart, and hard-working with very few exceptions. Mark (CEO) is approachable, authentic, and intense. He checks in with us regularly and seems to keep it pretty real. It's still a corporation, so you deal with the standard bureaucratic pains with procurement, etc., but I genuinely have no strong complaints. Planning to be here for years to come unless things change drastically.

Cons

The culture isn't for everyone. It's fast-paced, informal, and change is constant. If you're uncomfortable with that, look elsewhere.
