Pros

The flexible work schedule is ok.

Cons

Snapfish is experiencing a downward spiral, losing customers, losing money, and the leadership is taking it out on the employees. There is no real focus on user experience... don't be fooled, Snapfish is a marketing focused organization, not UX focused. Designers are not empowered to do their jobs but micromanaged to no end. Design is always dumbed down to fit the legacy systems. Middle management is not there to support the individual contributors; They seem to only be good at throwing us under the bus. To sum it all up, Snapfish fosters a culture of blame and intimidation, ux is not valued when dealing with legacy products and technical debt, and there is no career advancement at all.

Pros

Decent work-life balance unless you work with India team Decent benefits Lovely people

Cons

Below market salary Late working hours if you work with India teams Lack of or only paying lip service to transparency Unclear accountability, roles ownership Fired/laid off a lot of smart people, unclear why and different managers say different things Some people appear to do absolutely nothing, for years. Some people i've been told were told to do nothing, despite experience The site's features are so behind competition, and the stuff that does get built doesn't make a lot of sense.

Pros

Looked like a flexible, fun place to work. There are a lot of people passionate about what they are creating. I joined when it was a part of HP, although there was no HP involvement in any day to day operations.

Cons

Worked on a team that was completely offshore and had a big time difference. Management didn't seem to want to grow a team locally and not sure why they even hired someone in that position. There was no cohesion and very little interaction with the contracting team and absolutely no discussions to be had. They ignored me for the most part which left my day mostly open for other projects. Eventually having to show up to the office was getting hard.
