      People do not get recognized based on their capabilities and contribution, instead that is totally up to who you know and be friend with.

      Pros

      Partnered with some really great colleagues outside of my department. Look around and you may find some truly good people who work here. You've hit the jackpot if you find them in your department

      Cons

      It's unfortunate that good leaders support toxic employees, like a department manager, to which hard working team members who make nice, show up and do the job as expected, eventually end up being cut short of a prosperous career due to a manager who lacks effective communication and leadership.
