Pros

free snacks and drinks health benefits

Cons

Sofi is the absolute worst company to work for. I wouldn’t recommend anyone work there. Sofi is a giant lie. They lie about the culture, they lie about inclusion. All Sofi cares about is money. They could care less about the people who work for them. Managers will lie and find ways to terminate employees they don’t like. Pay is below average, especially when compared to companies like Citibank and Bank of America. They demand perfection out of their employees with little room for error while managers get endless time off and you have very little support

Thank you for your candid feedback. Our Operations employees are on the front lines talking to our members every day, and helping them get their money right. We are incredibly grateful for their (and YOUR!) dedication to our mission. Your comments are not indicative of the culture we are striving to create. While we are glad to hear you have enjoyed some of the benefits we offer employees, we are troubled to hear your comments around poor management and unethical behavior. We do not condone this behavior in any way. We are continuing to roll out trainings for managers that will help give them the tools and resources they need to keep supporting and inspiring their teams. We also frequently review employee compensation to ensure it is fair and competitive based on external market data. While we know we are on thin ice with you, we would like the opportunity to further understand your experience so we can improve in the future. We see feedback as a gift, and deeply care about our employees' experience, so we would like to know more. If you feel comfortable, please reach out to me directly, your People Business Partner, or email glassdoor@sofi.org so we can discuss further.

Thank you for the 3+ years you have invested in working at SoFi, and for taking the time to leave a thoughtful review. We're happy to hear you feel the benefits we offer employees are comprehensive and that you have enjoyed the amazing people at SoFi. The rapid growth we are experiencing offers our employees an incredible opportunity to learn, grow, and help shape the future of our company and this industry. That said, we know the pace can be intense...plus the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the WFH environment is accelerating burnout for a lot of people. If you haven't already checked out our Benefits offerings around this topic, we encourage you to! We have resources to help employees cope with burnout; plus we encourage you take the time off you need to recharge. If you would like more information on the resources we have available to employees, or if you'd like to continue this conversation, please reach out to us at glassdoor@sofi.org, or reach out to your PBP. Take care and thank you for being on this journey with us!

Pros

There is room for advancement and they care about their employees. SoFi is a growing company that you can move up in.

Cons

SoFi's structure is unorganized, HR doesn't speak with management about COVID rules, lots of different responsibilities with little training on all products

We see feedback as a gift that will only help us improve, so thank you for taking the time to share your SoFi experience with us. As you may remember, one of our values is 'take care of people and help them grow' and we're committed to building programs that support career development for our employees. We're glad you were able to experience that first hand. We're sorry to hear you felt our structure is unorganized and there is a lack of communication and training. With the ever-changing COVID-19 pandemic, it is essential that our return to work program is agile and flexible as our #1 priority is the health and safety of our employees. That said, we know cross-team communication is an area of opportunity for SoFi as a whole, and we are working on how we can improve so all employees feel informed. You also may have left before we made some changes to our Operations team to continue to invest in more scalable training resources to set our employees up for success. We wish you the best of luck in your next career move. Take care!
