Pros

Good benefits package, fully stocked kitchen, company and employee morale was nice. SoFi has solid company values which is always a plus.

Cons

No negotiation on pay, quarterly bonuses were unstructured and change was constant.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're happy to hear you felt our benefits were comprehensive, and that you connected with our values. Part of what makes SoFi such a dynamic place to work is our commitment to our values, and we're glad you agree! You may have left before we implemented our quarterly performance check-in program and a formal process to award merit increases. We also frequently review employee compensation to ensure it is fair and competitive based on external market data and individual performance. We’re always improving and evolving to help move SoFi in the right direction. We recognize that change can be difficult, and are very sorry to hear you didn't always feel supported. If you have additional thoughts, we would encourage you to send an email to glassdoor@sofi.org. While you're no longer an employee, you'll always be a part of the SoFi family and we thank you for your time with us.

Pros

I have been working at this company for two and half years. We were a Hong Kong startup that was acquired by SoFi in mid 2019. Since the acquisition, the changes have been big and exciting from both a business and cultural perspective. The team is full of smart, pro-active and hard-working people who are passionate about building a great company. The culture shift has also been apparent. SoFi has some very clear values and culture set out which help to foster a shared sense of responsibility and commonality between all the US offices and the Hong Kong office. This has helped to bring the newly acquired Hong Kong office closer to the US.

Cons

As with all companies, the huge growth after a major acquisition will always bring some challenges. But I am confident that the senior management are making the right decisions and listening to SoFi staff to help overcome these challenges!
