Pros

The culture is quite decent. People here are productive, but not being worked to death (at least in my group). There is a good understanding of WLB. Everyone in general is helpful and trying to contribute to a good product. The product/services offerings have a great potential for positive impact.

Cons

SoFi has a good eye/culture towards keeping their tech the biggest advantage over the traditional competitors, but they do struggle to move quickly like smaller startups sometimes. There is some amount of tech debt to catch up on, but the teams are doing their best to adapt. My understanding is that a lot of the tech debt is from a few years ago where there was a shake-up in personnel going all the way up to the top.

benefits, reimbursements, free gym membership, free lunches and snacks, unlimited PTO, generous stock plans, management doing lot of great things with the company

SoFi is growing like crazy and it is so great to be a part of that. You really get to make an impact from day 1 and see the transformation first hand.

Cons

Still a start up, so some processes could improve and everyone is taking on a heavy workload right now knowing that down the road things will pay off.
